Bio-Cycle

This is unlike any of the other treatment systems that we have looked at, the whole of the progress from receiving the waste water and solid to distributing clean water at the end is all achieved in one unit.  A smaller version of the system used by large treatment plants this self contained system has four chambers.

The first takes out the solids as they sink to the bottom.

The second is called the aeration chamber, waste water’s organic content is broken down by a culture of bacteria biological filtration

Discharge from the aeration chamber drains into the third chamber called Clarification chamber, where the biological solids separate and settled solids move back to the first chamber.

Finally there is the Pump chamber. Clarified waste water drains into this sump and is pumped from there to a tertiary polishing disposal system. This filter system is a constructed percolation area designed to finish the treatment of any effluent left in the water before passing it into the ground water.
