Building Route

As a self builder you will have some involvement with your project one way or another, how much of it all depends on yourself and the building route you choose.

In all cases as a self builder you will be involved with finding the site, deciding on the design, arranging the finance, finding professionals and overlooking the budget and costs.

It is very important to choose the right building route for your project as this will determine the amount of time that you have to spend onsite, the amount of money that you will spend and finally, the stress level during your build.

There are basically three building routes available to you as a self builder and they are:

Building Contractor

Direct Route

Project Manager

Before you decide on the route, you need to do your homework and make sure that you understand all the process and expenses involved. For example, it is a lot cheaper to go the direct route but are you prepared to find and chase local contractors and spend a lot of time project managing the build.

Whichever route decide to use, make sure that there is enough Insurance protection to cover your investment.

No matter what kind of design challenges you are considering, Reward insulating concrete form (ICF) construction has the answers.
