If you are having stud walls then it is best to get your carpenter to build these. Before plastering the door frames and stairs ( if wooden ) need to be installed and any frames for built in units, including baths and showers. don’t forget the window boards.

After plastering the skirting boards, architrave and doors all need to be placed. Locks need to be cut and handles need to be added. Built in units like kitchens, wardrobes, storage shelves, bathroom cupboards and so on need finishing. Loft entrances need to be made secure and finished with a door and catch to stop the cover from lifting and falling which could cause a very serious injury.

Although laminates can be laid by almost anyone, wooden floors, ceilings and wall panels should be laid by the professionals. Don’t forget your door saddles.
