Public Liability Insurance

A Public Liability Insurance is form of insurance for those at risk of being sued by third parties for negligence.

A Public Liability policy covers the policyholder incase he or she shall become legally liable out of accidental Bodily Injury, Nuisance or loss of or damage to material property occurring during your project.

It is very important that you make sure that you are covered for Public Liability as a self builders as during the course of your construction, there will be a lot of visitors to the site and this policy is needed to make sure that should the unforeseen happen to any of them, they will be covered by the Insurance company and not you.

A good self build insurance policy would also have a section that would cover you for Public Liability.

Make sure that you have a cover for a minimum of €2000000 as far as the Public Liability.
